Happy Friday! Here's a laid back look to help you transition into weekend mode. Although, let's face it, who really needs help embracing the weekend?
The first item we have to discuss here are the shoes. I'd been searching for a pair of patent-leather pointed loafers for a while, and finally discovered them on a magical Black Friday shopping trip to Lord & Taylor. Raised by a mother who is referred to by most as The Coupon Queen, finding fabulous fashion at a fraction of its price is in my blood, and few things give me such pleasure. So, when I snagged these $80 Sam Edelman beauties for $32, my Black Friday was deemed a success.
The next order of business is the coat. For someone who has a strong affinity for wearing a lot of black in the winter (and in general), this pale pink coat helps add a hint of color to my typical outfit. I also love that this coat is oversized, providing for an effortless casual look.
And lastly, let's talk about the hat. I'm currently experiencing a hat obsession of all shapes and sizes. Lately, no matter what I'm wearing, I have a consistent desire to throw a hat on my head. In my opinion, they are the cherry on top of every look, and remind the world you're a boss bitch.
For us New Yorkers, and much of the Northeast, this has been the week that winter announced it's arrival. Single digit temps mixed with snowfall can make it difficult to want to go outside, but if you do, try a laid back look with a hint of color.
Have a lovely weekend, fashion friends.
