I Think, Therefore I Dress is about self-expression from the inside-out. Being part dress and part thoughts, it features my affordable style and reflective thoughts as a 20-something, NYC gal, who believes dreams are for living and the only person to be is yourself.
The blog and title are my personal twist on the philosopher René Decartes’ proposition, “I think, therefore I am,” his theory that thinking of one's existence, therefore, proves one exists. If thinking proves we exist, then the way we think must prove who we are as individuals, and the way we outwardly express who we individually are is how we dress and what we say.
I started I Think, Therefore I Dress in July of 2014 to quench my desire for a consistent outlet to express myself creatively. My need for self expression was not new, as I've been singing, dancing and acting since I was a little girl; however I began yearning for an outlet to supplement acting, that was completely in my control and allowed me to create whenever I felt inspired. In addition to being a fashion blogging actress obsessed with affordable style, I'm also a yoga junkie bitten with wanderlust, girlfriend to my best friend and boo, Max, and a born and raised Jersey girl who proudly calls NYC home.
I hope you enjoy following along and feel confident in knowing you don't need to spend a lot of money to look great and feel fashionable, but most importantly, I hope you're inspired to express who you are. To think for yourself. To dress for yourself. To be yourself, proudly.
So much love,
